AMDA Vision Bearers

What We Do

Our Vision

A world where people in Teso and Karamoja Sub-Regions live free from all forms of conflict and discrimination, and where the climate crisis is effectively contained for improved livelihoods

Our Motto

Victory over Poverty

Our Mission

AMDA exists to eliminate conflict, rebuild livelihoods, empower marginalized communities, promote gender equality, and strengthen resilience to climate change through inclusive, community-driven development approaches

Our Values, the work guide

  • Equity and social justice
  • Collective responsibility
  • Preferential option for the poor
  • Meaningful community participation

Our Partnerships & Governance

AMDA is governed by a nine-member Board and supported by a skilled technical team. We work closely with government institutions, traditional leaders, civil society organizations, and international partners. Our key partners include UNDP, NAWOU, UWONET, CEWIGO, UWOPA, and Isis-WICCE. These collaborations strengthen our grassroots mobilization, policy advocacy, and delivery of multi-sectoral interventions that respond to both immediate humanitarian needs and long-term development priorities
